REGISTRATION
You can register for the conference by writing to Anja Gossens. The onsite registration and information desk at ZKM will open Thursday afternoon at 5:00 pm (17:00), Nov 20, 2008. There is no registration fee. ZKM Visitor Information
In the evening, a welcoming reception will include a showing of the film 8bit.
CONFERENCE DATES
The program of conference papers runs from the morning of Friday, Nov 21, to noon Sunday, Nov 23, 2008. A schedule of the program will be posted shortly.
LOCATION
The meeting will be held at ZKM, Zentrum fur Kunst und Medientechnologie, Lorenzstrasse 19, Karlsruhe 76135, Germany. TRANSPORTATION
Travellers arriving from outside Germany likely will land at Frankfurt airport. Trains go from the airport to Karlsruhe (Hauptbahnhof) about every hour. Follow the signs Fernbahnhof to the long distance train station at the airport. The travel time to Karlsruhe takes an hour. The fare is 35 euros return. Further schedule and general information is available at bahn.de.
Upon arrival at the Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station), tram #2 (direction ZKM) of the KVV public transportation system passes by ZKM. A taxi from the train station to ZKM costs about 8 euros.
